Curriculum Aims
There is a growing consensus in Britain that virtues such as honesty, self control, fairness, gratitude and respect, which contribute to moral character, are part of the solution to many of the challenges facing society today. Character Education enables children to develop a good moral character through an exploration of these virtues. They are encouraged to look at the world and work on key life skills such as communication and resilience. The government stipulate some of the topics we cover such as relationships and first aid but we are also give the freedom to deliver a curriculum that is current and relevant to young people here at Sandhurst School.
