Students at Sandhurst School are today celebrating their success at GCSE with over 77% of students achieving a 4+ in English and 72% in mathematics, with over 75% of the grades awarded being 4+.

Headteacher, Mrs Debbie Smith, congratulated the students on their hard work and well-deserved success:

“We are celebrating another year of excellent GCSE results and I am absolutely thrilled.  I am delighted that, for the second year running the number of students in English and mathematics achieving a 4+ has risen.  These results represent a tremendous achievement for both students and staff who have worked incredibly hard to achieve this level of success. Huge thanks must go to our Year 11 parents and guardians who have provided essential support to their children and work so hard to support us.   I would also like to commend the efforts of all of the pastoral staff, especially the tutors and Heads of House, who have provided the individual care and attention that has enabled so many of our students to meet and, in many cases, exceed their personal targets.

I congratulate all those students who have achieved their personal targets at GCSE and I look forward to welcoming returning students to Sixth Form in order to build on this excellent foundation for A Level studies”
