The Opening of Philly's Place in Rwanda

Reaching Rwanda, a charity supported by Sandhurst School, was delighted to open their new children's centre, Philly's Place, over the summer.

Mrs Hunt, the Chair of Trustees of Surf Survivors Fund who runs Reaching Rwanda and our Deputy Headteacher is currently in Rwanda overseeing the grand opening. Sam said:

My goodness, what a day!! The whole community seemed to turn out today for the grand opening. The children and parents started queuing to get in from around 9am, even though the ceremony wasn’t until 3pm! Hundreds came to celebrate and party with us. And boy, did they party! The opening was covered by the national newspaper too. It was a wonderful day
